Experience a fresh start for your mind and body.
Whether our patients are starting their recovery for the first time or are trying again after a relapse, it’s essential to prepare both body and mind for treatment. Our medically-supervised detoxification program provides a safe, comfortable, and fully monitored environment to cleanse patients of addictive substances prior to treatment.
The detoxification, or “detox,” process is critical for anyone beginning an addiction and substance use disorder treatment program after a period of frequent use. During the detox process, patients experience focused medical care and stabilization as they undergo withdrawal from addictive substances. With proper medical supervision and around-the-clock care, patients are usually able to manage withdrawal successfully and enter into a formal treatment program.
What to Expect
StoneRidge provides a team of specialized Registered Nurses and a triple board certified Neuropsychiatrist for continuous 24-hour care throughout the detoxification process. This nursing team monitors for the effectiveness of medications used for withdrawal management, as well as any potential side effects, putting patient safety as their top priority. Throughout the detoxification process, our nursing staff conducts individual assessments of each patient based on the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol (CIWA) and the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) protocols. Because we want each of our patients to experience personalized treatment, we do not use a “one size fits all” protocol.
Our medical and clinical team continue the evaluation process throughout detoxification, only keeping patients in the program for as long as medically necessary. Once deemed sufficiently free of substances, patients can transition into one of our treatment programs.
